Victor Barcot, CEO & Director
Mr. Barcot has more than 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has been an advisor to several notable U.S. publicly listed oil and gas exploration and production companies and has previously served on the board of several oil and gas companies. Additionally, Mr. Barcot was a Director of the Global Oil and Gas Investment Banking Group of Macquarie Bank. Mr. Barcot earned his M.B.A. and B.B.A. in Finance with highest honours from the University of Houston.
Colin Bowkett, President & Director
Mr. Bowkett brings more than 18 years experience in business development and strategic alliances to the company, and is a partner in Canadian Nexus Ventures, a private investment firm based in Vancouver. He has facilitated and financed multiple international Oil & Gas, and Mining transactions in both the private and public sector. Mr. Bowkett currently serves on the board of directors or in advisory positions for several private and public entities.
Jeffrey T. Wilson, VP Operations
Mr. Wilson brings over 30 years of petroleum engineering experience focusing on acquisitions, reservoir engineering, completions, and drilling engineering for both unconventional and conventional oil & gas plays throughout the United States. Mr. Wilson began his career as a Senior Reservoir Engineer for Exxon and later Netherland, Sewell & Associates with a focus on reservoir studies and acquisitions. Mr. Wilson has served in numerous senior management and operations capacities for large-cap public E&P companies as well as private E&P companies including serving as Manager of Acquisitions and Operations for Vintage Petroleum (later acquired by Occidental Petroleum for $3.8b). Mr. Wilson earned his Engineering degree in 1975 from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology.
Arni Johannson, Director
Arni Johannson has 20 years of experience in the Canadian capital markets. His focus has been to build assets and senior management teams in companies he is invested in while executing a defined business plan. Mr. Johannson was the founder and architect behind Titan Uranium (TSX.v:TUE - www.titanuranium.com) and cofounded The Fortress Group (Fortress Paper – TSX:FTP - www.fortresspaper.com). He also serves as a director for a number of public companies including Mega Uranium ( TSX:MGA - www.megauranium.com ). Mr. Johannson has been an active investor and financier of Oil and Gas companies who’s focus has been on project generation in the United States of America.
Robert G. McMorran, Director
Mr. McMorran obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1981 while articling with Coopers & Lybrand's Vancouver office, and has been working in the junior resource sector since 1982. Mr. McMorran has held numerous board positions and senior officer appointments, including his tenure as the Chief Financial Officer of the highly successful Canada Dominion Resources Group of flow-through limited partnerships.
Joe Mike McKinney, Director
Mr. McKinney brings over 50 years experience in the oil and gas industry, encompassing virtually every major basin in North America in the areas of exploration and production, asset evaluation, acquisition, strategic planning and investment banking. Mr. McKinney’s experience includes senior positions at Majors such as Exxon, Superior Oil, Union Texas, as well as serving as President and COO of the International Division of EOG Oil & Gas (NYSE:EOG -- $23B Mkt cap). His expertise is in the maximizing of return on exploration and development investment, with a key focus on strategic growth.
James L. Harris, Corporate Secretary
Mr. Harris is a corporate, securities and business lawyer with over 20 years' experience in British Columbia and internationally. He has extensive experience with the acquisition and disposition of assets, corporate structuring and restructuring, regulatory requirements and corporate filings, and corporate governance. Mr. Harris was also a Founding Member of the Legal Advisory Committee of the Vancouver Stock Exchange. Apart from his legal education, Mr. Harris has also completed a graduate course in business at the London School of Economics.
Darren Tindale, CFO
Mr. Tindale has significant accounting experience working with mineral exploration and development companies in Canada and throughout the world. He has served in senior and advisory roles for firms in both the public and private sector and is currently the Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Lions Gate Metals Inc (TSX.V: LGM) a Tier 1 company, and the Controller of Galena Capital Corp (TSX.V: FYI).
